Pigeon Magazine is a zine created inhouse at the Wolverhampton School of Art by the Level 6 Graphic Design students. I had the role of Art Director for Issue 41 where I decided to go with bright CMYK colours and sharp angles with noisy drop shadows, mirroring a punk style. I found this style to be very visually interesting and was designed ith the intent of standing out, no matter where it was placed. I created a style guide for this project which my Senior Designer from my class and my Junior Designer, a student from Halesowen College had to follow in order to make a double-page spread each. This project helped develop strong leadership and teamwork skills, giving me experience of running a project rather than just doing what the brief says. The magazine will be found across various venues in Wolverhampton during the week commencing 4th May 2026.
